خالصه ḵẖāliṣ-a A 1. adj. Pure. 2. s. m. An office of government in which the business of the revenue department is transacted; exche- quer. 3. Land held immediately from govern- ment.

خفي ḵẖafī A adj. Secret, concealed; fine or small (handwriting, opposed to جلي jalī).

خمخانه ḵẖum-ḵẖāna P s. m. A tavern.

خروج ḵẖurūj A s. m. Going out or forth, sally, egress, issuing, issue, eruption, excretion. خروج کرنا ḵẖurūj karnā, To sally, issue, go forth.

خبرت ḵẖibrat A s. f. 1. Wisdom, learning. 2. Experience, experiment, trial, proof.

خرخر ḵẖur ḵẖur P or ḵẖar ḵẖar, Purring (of a cat). خرخرکرنا ḵẖar ḵẖar karnā, To purr.

خلاصي ḵẖalāṣ-ī A. 1. s. f. Freedom, liberation, redemption, discharge, release. 2. s. m. A sailor, a native artillery-man.

خرطوم ḵẖurt̤ūm A s. m. The proboscis of an ele- phant.

ختم ḵẖatm A (Heb. ) s. m. 1. Conclusion, seal, end. 2. (used adjectively) Done, finished. ختم المرسلين ḵẖatmu-l-mursalīn, Seal of the sent (of God). ختم کرنا ḵẖatm karnā, To conclude, finish, complete.

خرافت ḵẖurāfat A (from خرف Heb. ) s. f. A fable, tale, romance, ludicrous saying, smut. (Plur. خرافات ḵẖurāfāt, Fables, &c.)
