A long pole with which they im- pel a boat, perhaps a rudder, trifles, idle talk, any thing which penetrates or goes down in a place, as a needle, &c., a wind causing sharp pain in the belly, a pain that comes suddenly in the side and joints, any thing that passes away by degrees or slowly, a written document signed by a judge.

خلاص ḵẖalāṣ A (from خلص Heb. ) s. m. De- liverance, liberation; used adjectively, Free, liberated, redeemed, done, out. خلاص کرنا ḵẖa- lāṣ karnā, To release, liberate, free, discharge. خلاص هونا ḵẖalāṣ honā, 1. To be freed or set at liberty, to be released or discharged, to emit. 2. To calve, to be brought to bed. 3. Emissio seminis, semen emittere.

ختم ḵẖatm A (Heb. ) s. m. 1. Conclusion, seal, end. 2. (used adjectively) Done, finished. ختم المرسلين ḵẖatmu-l-mursalīn, Seal of the sent (of God). ختم کرنا ḵẖatm karnā, To conclude, finish, complete.
