خرد ḵẖirad A s. f. Wisdom, intellect. خرد پسند ḵẖirad-pasand, Approved by the understanding. خرد مند ḵẖirad-mand, adj. Wise. خرد مندي ḵẖirad-mand-ī, s. f. Wisdom. خردور ḵẖirad- war, adj. Sagacious, wise. حردوري ḵẖiradwar-ī, s. f. Sagacity, wisdom.

خرمست ḵẖar-mast P adj. 1. Athletick. 2. Stupid.

خرچنگ ḵẖarchang P s. m. 1. A crab (fish). 2. A kind of herb. A. H. خرچو ḵẖarchū (from خرج) adj. Prodigal, expensive.

خورشيد ḵẖụrshaid P or ḵẖụrshed, s. m. The sun. خورشيدرو ḵẖụrshaid-rū, Having a countenance dazzling as the sun.

خفيه ḵẖufya A (from خفا) 1. adj. Disguised, concealed. 2. (Also خفيتا ḵẖufyataṉ) adv. Secretly. خفيه نويس ḵẖufya-nawīs, s. m. One whose business is to write intelligence secretly; intelligencer, informer. خفيه نويسي ḵẖufya-na- wīs-ī, s. f. Secret intelligence writing.

خرفه ḵẖurfa A (from خرف To pluck fruit from a tree, Heb. To strip off honours or deco- ration, to inflict ignominy) s. m. 1. That which is plucked from a tree. 2. Autumnal fruit.

خرموش ḵẖar-mūsh P s. A kind of large rat. See h. گهوس ghūs, sign. 1.

خارش ḵẖārish P (from خاريدن) s. f. The itch, the scab, the mange.

خراش ḵẖarāsh P (from خراشيدن) 1. s. f. m. Scratching, scraping, excoriation. 2. (in com- pos.) part. act. Scratching, lacerating, scraping, clawing.

خلوتي ḵẖalwat-ī A. One admitted into the private apartments; a confidant, an intimate friend: a hermit. خلوتي راگ ḵẖalwat-ī-rāg, s. m. Soft musick.
