چودانيا chaudāniyā S̱. P. s. m. (چو Four, and دانه Grain) An ornament (formed of four pearls) worn in the ear.

چوب chob P (or Pers. chūb) s. f. 1. Wood. 2. A post. 3. A drumstick, a stick, a club. چوب کاري chob-kār-ī or کارچوبي kār-chobī, s. f. 1. Beating with a stick. 2. A kind of embroidery.

چاليسا chālīs-ā S̱. s. m. 1. A dimness of sight which is supposed to come on at forty years of age, and often to be removed on approaching the forty-eighth or fiftieth year. 2. The for- tieth year of any era, or of the century.

چنچلتا चंचलता chanchalatā S s. f. 1. Perish- ableness. 2. Restlesness.

چهاکنا chhāknā H v. a. To clear the water of a well, &c.

چارن चारण chāraṇ S s. m. A kind of bard, a panegyrist of the gods.

چاو chāʼo H s. m. f. 1. Eagerness, pleasure, taste, desire. (Sans. इच्छा ichchhā). 2. A measure equal to four fingers. 3. A kind of bamboo. چاوچوچلا chāʼo-chochlā, or چاوچوز chāʼo-choz, Fondness, endearment, fondling and toying.
