چونٿي chonṭī S̱. (चूडा Tuft, crest, pinnacle, peak, summit) s. f. 1. The hair braided be- hind (tail), braid, cue, top, apex, summit, pin- nacle. 2. An ornament worn on the head by women. چونٿي آسمان پر گهسنا chonṭī āsmān par ghisnā, To be very vain or aspiring. چونٿي کٿ chonṭī-kaṭ, A slave. چونٿي کٿوانا chonṭī kaṭwānā, To be a slave, to be obedient. چونٿي کسيکي هاتهـ مين آنا chonṭī kisī kī hāth men ānā, To have a power over one, to subdue.

چٿک chaṭak H s. f. 1. A crash, a crack, a smack. 2. Intelligence, gaudiness. 3. Glitter, splendour, prime of life. 4. adj. Intelligent, quick. چٿک سي chaṭak se, adv. Deceiving. چٿک سي جانا chaṭak se jānā, To pay with the fore topsail. چٿک واٴي chaṭāk-wāʼī, s. f. Quickness.

چاک chāk P 1. s. m. A narrow opening intentionally left in clothes, a rent, a slit, a fissure. 2. adj. Rent, slit, torn, lacerated. چاک کرنا chāk karnā, To rend, to slit, to tear, to split, rip. چاک گريبان chāk-girebān, Having the collar rent, afflicted, sad.

چلبلا chulbulā H adj. 1. Restless, fidgetting. 2. Airy, gay. چلبلاپن chulbulā-pan, s. m. Gayety.

چوکسي chaukas-ī H s. f. 1. Watching, diligence, attention. 2. Four people employed together, or eating out of the same dish or plate.

چٿکنا chaṭaknā H v. n. 1. To crackle (as wood on the fire), to crack (as, a whip). 2. To split.

چنديلا chandelā S̱. (from चन्द्र) s. m. The name of a tribe of Rājpūts who claim descent from the moon.
