چـﮩ‍ل پـﮩ‍ل chahal-pahal H s. f. Jollity, merri- ment, cheer, mirth.

چيري cherī S̱. (चेटी or चेडी) s. f. A slave- girl, a girl-servant.

چومکهي chau-mukh-ī S̱. (चतुर्मुखी Four faced) s. f. 1. A name of the goddess Devī. 2. The seed of a tree, called रुद्राक्ष (Scævola lobelia or Elæocarpus ganitrus).

چهنٿنا chhanṭnā H v. n. 1. To grow thin. 2. To diminish. 3. To be extracted or separated.

چهچهوندر chhuchhūndar छुच्छुंदरी S̱. s. f. 1. Mole, musk-rat. (Sorex cærulescens: Shaw). 2. Squib. چهچهوندرچهوڙنا chhuchhūndar chhoṛ- nā, To backbite, to calumniate, to excite resent- ment.

چونري chauṅrī S̱. (चमर or चामर) s. f. An instrument for driving away flies, a fly-flapper. See چنور chaṅwar.

چماغ chumāg̠ẖ P. s. m. An iron mace, a wooden mace or club with a knob at the end or headed with iron.

چهکاٴي chhakāʼī H (from چهکنا) s. f. Satiety.

چکتي chaktī S̱. (from चक्र A circle) s. f. 1. The hide of a rhinoceros (of which shields are made). 2. A patch of leather, a slice, com- pressed, flattened, a patch, the round of a cheese. 3. A round plate of metal, &c.

چهپا chhipā H adj. Close, hidden, concealed. چهپا رهنا chhipā rahnā, To abscond. چهپا چهپي chhipā-chhipī, adv. Underhand, secretly.
