اٿهانا uṭhānā S̱. (caus. of اٿهنا) v. a. To lift, take or raise up, to elevate, to hoist, to take or bear away, to produce, invent, cause, gain, get, enjoy, to abolish, excite, rouse, support, bear, carry, to remove, to receive, to suffer, to exhibit, to contract debts or purchase on credit, to expend. اٿها دینا uṭhā denā, To remove away, abolish, abrogate, exterminate.

اگرچه agarchi P conj. Although, though. S̱. اگرسوچ (अग्र Fore, and سوچ Thought) agra- soch, s. m. Foresight, providence, precaution.

اوسر ūsar ऊषर S̱. adj. Barren (land).

اشکال ishkāl A (inf. iv. of شکل) s. m. Ambi- guity, difficulty, suspicion; painfulness.

احوال aḥwāl A s. m. اهانت ihānat A (inf. iv. of هون) s. f. Contempt, disdain, affront, insult, indignity, enmity. اهانت کرنا ihānat karnā, To contemn.

آسیب āseb P s. m. A misfortune (generally meaning such misfortune as is the consequence of the shadow of a demon having fallen on one, and the like), trouble, calamity, damage.

آغشته āg̠ẖashta P part. Moistened, macerated, mixed, polluted.

اکرا akrā H 1. adj. Dear, costly. 2. s. f. A kind of vetch: see انکري ankrī.
