چنگا changā S̱. (चंग Handsome, dexterous) adj. Healthy, cured, sound. چنگا بنانا changā ba- nānā, To correct, to punish, to put to right, to chastise. بهلا چنگا bhalā-changā, adj. 1. In health and vigour. 2. Perfect, good.

چوپتي chau-pat-ī चतुष्पत्री S̱. s. f. A small tract, an essay, a pamphlet, a pocketbook.

چول chūl H s. f. 1. A tenon, the part of joinerʼs work which fits into another (as, a dove-tail). 2. A pivot upon which a door turns (as on a hinge). 3. An axle-tree-arm. چولين اکهڙنا يا ڐهيلي هونا chūleṅ-ukhaṛnā or -ḍhīlī honā, To be tired, worn out with labour.

چهٿکرا chhuṭ-karā S̱. s. m. Deliverance.

چرجيو chir-jīw S̱. s. m. See چرنجيو chiran-jīw.

چنپو champū H s. m. See چپو chappū.

چهکا chhakkā षक्ट S̱. s. m. 1. The sixth (at cards, &c.). 2. A cage with a net attached to it. چهکا پنجه کرنا chhakkā panja karnā, To de- ceive, to play tricks. H. S̱. چهکاچهک کرنا chhakā-chhak karnā, v. a. (dakh.) To satiate, to satisfy.

چيني chīn-ī H s. f. Sugar (coarse; being, per- haps, so named from چين chīn, China, whence it might have been first brought to India; as, sugar-candy is called مصري miṣr-ī apparently from مصر miṣr, Egypt).
