چندر चंद्र chandar S or chandr, s. m. The moon. چندربنسي chandra-bansī, Descendant of the moon; name of a tribe of Ksh̤atriyas who claim descent from the moon. چندرکلا chandra- kalā, A digit or one sixteenth part of the moonʼs diameter. چندربدني chandra-badanī, or چندرمکهي chandra-mukh-ī, Having a counte- nance beautiful as the moon.

چهاهين chhāhīṅ S̱. (छाया Shade) s. f. Disco- loration.

چادر chādar P s. f. 1. A sheet. 2. A cascade. چادربچهانا chādar bichhānā, To lay the cloth.

چٿ ساري chaṭ-sārī S̱. (चटुशाला i. e. चटु A boy, and शाला A house) s. f. A school, an academy.

چروري chiraurī H s. f. Beseeching, begging, requesting.

چپراس chaprās H s. f. A buckle, a breastplate, clasp, badge.

چهل छल chhal S s. m. Fraud, trick, deception, knavery, artifice, evasion, excuse, subterfuge, pretence. چهل بل chhal bal, s. m. Force and fraud, stratagem, artifice, trick. چهل چهدر يا چهلچهدرم छलछिद्र chhal-chhidr or chhal-chhi- dram, s. m. Plot, stratagem. چهل چهدري chhal- chhidr-ī, adj. Deceitful, fraudulent.
