چهلکانا chhalkānā S̱. (trans. of چهلکنا chhalaknā) v. a. To spill.

چالي chālī S̱. (see چالنا) adj. Roguish, wicked, mischievous.

چنپا champā चंपक S̱. s. m. The name of a flower-tree. See چنپک. (Michelia cham- paca). چنپاکلي champā-kalī, s. f. A necklace, each piece of which resembles the unblown flowers of the champā. چنپا کيلا champā-kelā, A kind of plantain. H.S̱. چنپت هونا champat honā, v. n. See چمپت هونا champat honā.

چچير chachīr H s. m. A line, stripe, score.

چهيڙ chheṛ H (from چهيڙنا) s. f. Irritating, irrita- tion, vexing, &c. See the verb. چهيڙچهاڙ chheṛ chhāṛ or چهيڙکهاني chheṛ khānī, s. f. 1. Stric- ture, animadversion. 2. The act of vexing, provoking, exciting, &c.

چٿ پٿاهٿ chaṭ-paṭāhaṭ S̱. (from چٿپٿانا) s. f. Agitation, flurry, flutter, palpitation.

چٿکانا chaṭkānā H (caus. of چٿکنا) v. a. 1. To crack (as, a whip), to snap the fingers (in re- joicing). 2. To split. 3. To fire off a musket. 4. To irritate.

چهوڙنا chhoṛnā S̱. (trans. of چهٿنا chhuṭnā, q. v.) v. a. To let go, emit fire, emit, forgive, forsake, leave, quit, desert, except, loose, free, omit, pardon, release, resign, discharge, lay aside, shoot, fire (a gun, &c), spare, abandon, abdi- cate, abstain, breathe.

چوٿ chūṭ H s. m. A crack, a noise.
