جلپاٴي jalpāʼī H s. f. 1. The Elæocarpus ser- ratus. 2. An olive.

جونک joṅk जलौका S̱. s. f. A leech. جونک لگانا joṅk lagānā, To apply leeches.

جواٿهـ jūʼāṭh युगकाष्ठ S̱. s. m. A yoke.

جفت juft P s. m. Evenness, party, a pair, a couple, a match.

جدهر jidhar यत्र S̱. adv. Where, wherever, whither, there. جدهر تدهر jidhar tidhar (यत्रतत्र) adv. Here and there, everywhere. جدهرنوان ادهرپاني ڐهلنا jidhar niwān udhar pānī ḍhalnā, Where there is low ground there the water flows; (meaning) evil is added to evil, or misfortune comes upon misfortune.

جدان jadāṅ यदा S̱. adv. (dakh.) When: see جد jad.

جهڙنا jhaṛnā H v. n. To fall off (as, fruit from the tree), to be swept off, to shed, to emit, to drop, to fall, to pour, to shake, to strain, to be sound- ed (the نوبت), to be discharged (a volley).
