جوگتا jog-tā योग्यता S̱. s. f. Suitableness, ca- pability, ability, fitness.

جيرن jīran जीर्ण S̱. adj. 1. Old, decayed. 2. Digested.

جنـﮩ‍ار junhār H s. m. A kind of grain (comprising many species, of which Indian corn is one). S̱.H. جنـﮩ‍ار jan-hār (from जन) adv. Man by man, every one.

جهگڙا jhagṛā H s. m. Wrangling, quarrelling, contention, quarrel, squabble, strife. جهگڙا پکڙنا jhagṛā-pakaṛnā, To engage in anotherʼs quarrel. جهگڙا رگڙا jhagṛā ragṛā, s. m. Squabbling and wrangling, brawl, squabble.

جيـﮩر jehar H s. m. Name of an ornament for fe- males.

جالي jāl-ī S̱. (from جال) s. f. 1. Network. 2. The integument in which a fœtus is enveloped. 3. A coil, a caul. 4. Lattice, grate, trellis- work. جالي پڙنا jālī paṛnā, expresses the hardening of the stone of a mango.

جهونمنا jhūṅmnā H v. n. See جهومنا jhūmnā.

جعد jaﻌd A s. f. A ringlet, a lock of hair.

جهلجهلانا jhaljhalānā S̱. (from s. r. ज्वल Shine) v. n. 1. To glitter, to glare. 2. To be in a pas- sion. 3. To throb, to ache, to smart.

جهڙوتا jhaṛotā H s. m. The end of the season (of fruit, &c.), going out of season.
