جريب jarīb A s. f. 1. A land measure. 2. A corn measure (of 384 mudds or about 768 lbs.). جريب کرنا jarīb karnā, To make a survey (of lands). جريب کش jarīb-kash, s. m. A mea- surer or surveyor of land. جريب کشي jārīb- kash-ī, s. f. Mensuration (of land), the office of a land-surveyor.

جهڙپنا jhaṛap-nā H v. n. To spar, to fight (as, cocks, &c.), to contend.

Ebullition of the blood (the name of a disease). جوش دينا josh-denā, To cause to boil, to boil. جوش زن josh-zan or جوش زنان josh-zanān, adj. Boiling up, in a state of ebullition. جوش کهانا josh khānā, or جوش مارنا josh mārnā, To boil or bubble up. 2. (In compos.) part. act. (from جوشيدن) Boiling, effervescing.

جهکولنا jhakolnā H v. a. To shake.

جهڙانا jhaṛānā H (caus. of جهاڙنا) v. a. 1. To get swept. 2. To cause to be exorcised.

جوکهم jokhim H s. f. Risk, venture, peril, danger, achievement, enterprise. جوکهم اٿهانا jokhim uṭhānā, To run the hazard, to venture, to risk.
