ادرشٿ अदृष्ट a-dr̤ish̤ṭ S adj. Unseen, un- foreseen: s. m. Casual and unforeseen danger, fortune, luck.

ادهرامرت अधरामृत adharāmr̤ita S s.m. Nectar of the lips.

النکرت अलंकृत अलम् Ornament, and कृत Made alankr̤ita S. adj. Ornamented, adorned, embellished.

امرت अमृत अ and r. मृ Die amr̤it S. (vulg. imrat) s. m. The food of the gods, ambrosia, nectar, the water of life, what is immortal or renders immortal, any thing sweet, water, wine, a guava.

امرتي amr̤it-ī S̱. or vulg. imratī (from امرت) adj. Nectareous. s. f. A kind of sweetmeat, a small vessel for drinking out of, a kind of cloth.

بهرنگ भृंग bhr̤ing S s. m. A large black bee, fabled to be enamoured of the lotus.

بهرنگراج भृंगराज bhr̤ing-rāj S s. m. 1. Name of a kind of shrike (Lanius malabaricus). 2. Name of a medicinal herb. (Eclipta or Verbe- sina prostrata, or Verbesina scandens).

ترشا तृषा tr̤ish̤ā S s. f. Thirst; desire. See ترکها tirkhā. P. H. ترشاٴي turshāʼī (from ترشانا) s. f. Sourness, harshness, acidity. P. H. ترشانا turshānā (from ترش) v. n. To acidu- late, sour, turn sour.

ترشنا तृष्णा tr̤ish̤ṇā S s. f. Thirst, ambition, desire, avarice. (Pers. تشنه Thirsty). P. H. ترشوانا tarash-wānā (caus. of ترشنا) v. a. To cause to cut or pare.

ترن तृण tr̤iṇ S s. m. Grass.

ترنوت तृणवत् tr̤iṇa-vat S adj. As grass, like a straw; worthless, insignificant.

ترکهاونت tr̤ikh̤ā-want S (from ترکها) adj. Thirsty.
