تخفيف taḵẖfīf A (inf. ii. of خّف) s. f. 1. Ma- king light, alleviating. 2. Despising. 3. Ab- breviating. 4. Alleviation, abatement, relief, remission, abridgment, mitigation, palliation, extenuation, decrease, diminution, decay. 5. Softening the pronunciation of letters, or changing one for another euphoniæ gratia. تخفيف تصديع taḵẖfīf-i-taṣdīﻌ, 1. Banishing care. 2. Relieving pain or trouble. تخفيف دينا taḵẖfīf- denā, To alleviate, assuage, &c. تخفيف کرنا taḵẖfīf karnā, To extenuate, mitigate, allay, remit.

تاگا tāgā H s. m. A thread. تاگ توڙ tāg-toṛ, s. m. Lace.

تکانا takānā S̱. (trans. of تکنا q. v.) v. a. To aim.

تخالف taḵẖāluf A (inf. vi. of خلف) s. m. 1. Op- position, contention. 2. Enmity.

تضعيف taz̤ʼīﻌf A (inf. ii. of ضعف) s. f. Doubling.

ترسانا tarsānā S̱. (caus. of ترسنا q. v.) v. a. To cause to long, set agog, to tantalize, to tease.

تگي taggī H s. f. 1. A strand or thread of a twist. تتگي ti-taggī, A thread of three strands. چو تگي chau-taggī, One of four strands. 2. A kind of fishing-line not used with a rod.

تمجيد tamjīd A (inf. ii. of مجد) s. f. The glorifi- cation of God; hence, the hymn or prayer that is pronounced from the minarets an hour and a half before dawn.

تتمبا titimbā H s. m. Obstacle, impediment, stratagem. (Q. Arab. تتمه).

تگ وپو tag-o-pū P s. Search, inquiry, bustle.
