ارات आराति ārāti S s. m. Enemy.

افراط ifrāt̤ A (inf. iv. of فرط) s. m. f. Excess, su- perfluity, abundance. افراط اخلاط ifrāt̤-i-aḵẖlāt̤ or افراط خون ifrāt̤-i-ḵẖūn, Plethora.

برات barāt A s. f. A commission, a warrant, as- signment, letter.

برات barāt P s. f. The fourteenth day of the month Shaﻌbān, which is appropriated to the commemoration of ancestors. See شب برات shab-i-barāt (which name the day more commonly bears).

برات barāt व्रात S̱. s. f. The marriage pro- cession.

براتي barāt-ī व्राती S̱. s. m. The company and attendants at a marriage.

تغيرات tag̠ẖīrāt A plur. of تغير tag̠ẖīr, q. v. A.H. تغيري tag̠ẖīr-ī, s. f. The state of alteration or change, revolution, discharge, dismission, dis- grace.

جميرات jumerāt A.S̱. For جمعه رات jumʼaﻌ-rāt, q. v.

جوهرات jauharāt P s. plur. (of جوهر) Jewels.

حاضرات ḥāẓirāt A s. f. Commanding or impri- soning demons, &c., raising the devil.

حاضراتي ḥāẓirāt-ī A s. f. Commanding evil spi rits, &c., a conjurer, exorciser.

حشرات ḥasharāt A s. plur. (of حشرة) 1. The buzzing noise of a crowd. 2. Reptiles, insects, animalcules. حشرات الارض ḥasharātu-l-arẓ, Reptiles, insects.

خراط ḵẖarrāt̤ A (from خرط Heb. ) s. f. A turnerʼs lathe. s. m. A turner.
