ناگ پهانس nāg-phāṅs नागपाश S̱. s. f. A noose used to seize an enemy in battle (re- sembling the arms of the Retiarii among the Roman gladiators), a noose of a rope.

پهانسي phāṅsī पाश S̱. s. f. A noose, a loop, halter; strangulation. پهانسي پڙناياپرنا phāṅsī -paṛnā or -parnā, v. n. To be hanged. پهانسي دينا phāṅsī denā, v. a. To strangle, to hang. پهانسي لگانا phāṅsī lagānā, v. a. To kill oneʼs self by strangling.

پهانٿا phāṅṭā H s. (dakh. i. q. شاخ) Branch, bough.

پهاٿنا phāṭnā स्पटन S̱. v. n. To be torn, to be broken, split, rent, torn asunder, &c.

پهاٿک phāṭak H s. m. 1. A gate. 2. A large shutter. 3. An obstruction, impediment, a check. 4. The bar of a court of justice, where the plaintiff and defendant take their station.

پهاڙنا phāṛnā S̱. (स्फाटन or caus. of پهٿنا q. v.) v. a. To tear, rend, split, break, cleave (wood, &c.), to tear open, burst, rip.

پهاڙکهاؤ phāṛ khāʼū S̱. adj. (dakh.) Ravenous; ravenous beast, &c. see درنده.

پهاڙکهانا phāṛ khānā S̱. v. a. To worry.
