تفرج tafarruj A (inf. v. of فرج) s. m. Recreation, amusement, relaxation of mind.

تفرح tafarruḥ A (inf. v. of فرح) s. m. Leisure, ease, refreshment.

تفرس tafarrus A (inf. v. of فراست) s. m. 1. In- telligence, understanding, discernment. 2. Judging from physiognomy.

فراش farrāsh A (adj. superl. of فرش Heb. To spread) s. m. A servant whose business it is to spread the carpets, &c., bedmaker, chamber- lain. ¶ firāsh, Spreading. فراشخانه firāsh- ḵẖāna, s. m. The room where carpets, &c. are kept.

فراشي farrāsh-ī A. s. f. Spreading carpets, &c. the business of a farrāsh. فراشي سلام farrāsh-ī- salām, A bow or obeisance made down to the carpet.

فرانا farrānā H. (perhaps, from s. r. स्फुर Start, throb. See فرّاٿا) v. n. 1. To sneeze (a horse). 2. (for پهـرانا) To come quickly.

فرّاٿا farrāṭā S (see پهـرانا pharrānā, from r. स्फुर Start, throb) s. m. The sound of any thing rushing or fluttering in the air, a rush, a puff.

متفرق mutafarriḳ A (part. act. V. from فرق Heb. and Aram. ) adj. Separate, distinct, dis- persed, scattered. Plur. متفرقات mutafarriḳāt, Various and scattered things.

متفرقه mutafarriḳa A adj. fem. of متفرق muta- farriḳ, q. v.

مفر mafarr A (from فرّ Heb. and Chald. ) s. m. A place of refuge. (Plur. مفار).

مفوح mufarriḥ A (part. act. II. of فرح Heb. ) 1. Exhilarating, amusing. 2. An exhilarating medicine, in which rubies are an ingredient.
