دايره dāʼịra A (from دور) s. m. 1. A circle, a ring, circumference, orbit. 2. A tambourin. 3. A monastery. دايره دار dāʼịra-dār, Chief of a monastery, an abbot, prior, &c.

دايم dāʼịm A (part. act. of دوم) adj. Perpetual, permanent, ceaseless, eternal, continual, always. دايم الخمر dāʼịmu-l-ḵẖamr, adj. Sot, drunkard. دايم المرض dāʼịmu-l-maraẓ, Eternally sick.

دايمي dāʼịm-ī A. adj. Perpetual, continual, lasting, durable, standing.

داٴو dāʼū H s. m. 1. An appellation of a father or of an elder brother. 2. (used by contraction for) Baladeva, Kr̤ish̤ṇaʼs elder brother. ¶ 3. (dakh.) Deceit, fraud: see دغا dag̠ẖā.

داٴود dāʼūd A (Heb. from Beloved) n. prop. Name of a prophet, David.

داٴودي dāʼūd-ī A 1. s. f. A shrub that bears a flower like chamomile (Chrysanthemum indi- cum); a kind of firework like that shrub. 2. A kind of armour. 3. adj. Relating to David, of David.
