اسو अश्व aswa S s. m. A horse. اسوبت अश्वपति aswa-pati, Lord or master of horse, a horseman: see اشوپت ashwa-pati.

جسسوي jasaswī S (यशस्वी from यशः) adj. Re- nowned, famous. S̱.A. جسطرح jis-t̤araḥ, What fashion or manner, (in) what manner, as.

رسواد raswād S̱. (comp. of रस and वाद Quar- rel) adj. Exciting quarrels.

سرسوتي सरस्वती saraswatī S s. f. The wife of Brahmā, the goddess of speech and eloquence, the patroness of musick and the arts, and the inventress of the Sanskrit language and Deva- nāgarī letters.

وسواس waswās A (from وسوس) s. m. 1. The temp- tations of the devil, distraction of mind. 2. Doubt, suspense, hesitation, apprehension, sus- picion, dread, perplexity, superstition, scrupu- lousness, fluctuation (of mind).

وسواسي waswās-ī A. adj. Doutful, causing sus- pense, distracting, apprehensive, scrupulous.

وسوسه waswasa A s. m. Temptation, evil sug- gestion.
