وصيد waṣīd A s. f. The threshold of a house.

وون woṅ H or wūṅ, adv. In that manner, so. وون کا وونہي woṅ kā woṅ-hī, Exactly the same as before or originally.

ولي walī A s. m. 1. A prince, lord, master, friend, friend of God, saint. 2. A servant, a slave. ولي عہد walī-aﻌhd, 1. An heir. 2. A locum tenens, vicegerent. ولي عہدي walī-aﻌhd-ī, 1. Heritage, the state of being an heir apparent. 2. Deputyship. ولي کهنگر walī-khangar, s. m. An assistant, protector. ولي نعمت walī-niﻌmat, A title of respect by which a father is addressed, patron, benefactor.

وغا wag̠ẖā A s. War, battle, tumult, clamour.

وان wāṅ H adv. There, that place.

واقف wāḳif A (part. act. of وقف) adj. Acquaint- ed, experienced, conversant, intelligent, knowing, learned, sensible. واقف حال يا کار wāḳif-i-ḥāl, or -kār, Experienced, intelligent, expert, a connoisseur. واقف کاري wāḳif-kār-ī, Expe- rience, intelligence, expertness, knowledge.

وجاهت wajāhat A (from وجه) s. f. Respect, re- spectability, appearance, aspect, position.

وصي waṣī A (from وصي) s. m. An executor, ad- ministrator (of a will), preceptor.

وفور wufūr A (from وفر) s. m. 1. A multitude, plenty, abundance. 2. adj. Full, complete, copious.

وفق wafḳ A s. m. 1. A sufficiency. 2. Concord, agreement, congruity.
