ارض arẓ A s. f. The earth, a portion of land.

ارضي arẓ-ī A adj. Terrestrial, earthly, relating to the earth.

بالفرض bi-l-farẓ A adv. With the supposition, granted.

غرضي g̠ẖarẓ-ī A adj. Interested, selfish, designing.

فرض farẓ A s. m. f. Divine command, a duty the omission of which is considered as a mortal sin, an obligation. فرض کرنا farẓ karnā, To consider as a positive indispensable duty, to consider as certain or unquestionable, to grant, admit, assume. فرض هونا farẓ honā, To be in- cumbent, to behoove.

فرضاً farẓaṉ A adv. Hypothetically, for instance, suppose, granting.

قرض ḳarẓ A s. m. A loan, debt, money bor- rowed at interest. قرض حسنه ḳarẓ-i-ḥasana, Money lent without interest, and repaid at the pleasure of the borrower. قرض خواه ḳarẓ-

مرضي marẓī A (from رضو Heb. ) 1. adj. Agreeable, acceptable. 2. Taking favourably. 3. s. f. Will, assent, consent, pleasure. (Plur. مرضيات). ¶ marẓ-ī (from مرض maraẓ) adj. (dakh.) Sick. (Harris).

مرضيةً marẓīyataṉ A adj. Willingly, to (oneʼs) will or pleasure.
