تحلحل taḥalḥul A (inf. ii. of حلحل) s. The being forced to move from a place.

حلق ḥalḳ A s. m. The windpipe, the throat. حلق پر چهري اچهنا ḥalḳ par chhurī achhnā (dakh. i. q. کاوش هونا) Investigation to be (?).

حلقه ḥalḳa A s. m. 1. A ring, a circle, an as- sembly, a fraternity. 2. A kind of firework. 3. A knocker (of a door). حلقه بگوش ḥalḳa- ba-gosh, A slave, a servant: i. e. One who wears a ring in his ear, as a badge of servitude. حلقه بگوشي ḥalḳa ba-gosh-ī, s. f. Servitude, slavery. حلقه زن ḥalḳa-zan, Knocking (at a door).

حلقي ḥalḳ-ī A adj. Guttural (letters, viz. ح خ ه ء ع غ).

حله ḥalla H (perhaps for Arab. حمله) s. m. Assault, onset, attack, storm. حله کرنا ḥalla karnā, To assault, storm, attack.

حلوا ḥalwā A (from حلو) s. m. A kind of sweet- meat made of flour, ghī and sugar. حلوا سوهن ḥalwā-sohan, s. m. Name of a sweatmeat. حلوا نکالنا ḥalwā nikālnā, To beat severely.

حلوان ḥalwān A s. m. A kid, a lamb.

حلواٴي ḥalwā-ī A (from حلوا) s. m. A confec- tioner. A. H. حلواين ḥalwā-yan, s. f. A confectionerʼs wife.
