حامي ḥāmī A (part. act. from حما or حمايت) s. m. A protector, a defender. حامي بهرنا ḥāmī bharnā, To believe, acknowledge, confess, allow, own, consent. Saudā says: نازبرادري کي حامي تب بهرون دل کي کمر دم دلا سادي بندها لون استقامت کي ليي Nāz-bardārī kī ḥāmī tab bharūṅ, dil kī kamar dam-dilāsā de bandhā lūṅ, istiḳāmat ke liye, I will then consent to endure her capricious airs, when by soft persuasion I have fortified my heart for perseverance.

The summit of a moun- tain. 9. (in Hind.) Blame, censure, animad- version. حاجت ḥājat A (from حاج Heb. Moved round, frequented, stood in need of) s. f. 1. Need, want, necessity, poverty. 2.
