آسرا āsrā आश्रय S̱. s. m. Means of defence or protection, trust, reliance, hope, defence, asylum, retreat, refuge, shelter, abode, house.

آسرم आश्रम ā-sram S s. m. 1. Abode, resi- dence. 2. A religious order (of which there are four kinds referable to the different periods of life: as, 1st. That of the ब्रह्मचारी brahma- chārī, or student; 2d. That of the गृहस्थ gr̤ihastha, or householder; 3d. That of the वानप्रस्थ vānaprastha, or anchorite: and 4thly. That of the भिक्षु bhiksh̤u, or beggar).

ساون sāwan श्रावण S̱. s. m. The name of the fourth Hindū month, the full moon of which is near श्रवणा or a Aquilæ, July-August. ساون هري نه بهادون سوکهي sāwan hare na bhādoṅ sūkhe (Flourishing in summer and not fading in autumn) is applied to express continuance in the same state or situation.

سرادهہ श्राद्ध srāddha S s. m. Funeral obsequies, consisting in the feeding of priests and other prescribed ceremonies in honour of ancestors.
