آوبهگت āʼobhagat H or āʼobhagati, s. f. Civil re- ception or salutation, welcome, courteousness.

بهگا bhuggā H adj. Simple, foolish.

بهگانا bhagānā H (trans. of بهاگنا) v. a. To cause to flee or escape, to cause to run away, to drive away. ¶ bhigānā (trans. of بهيگنا) v. a. To wet, moisten, steep.

بهگت bhagat भक्त S̱. s. m. See بهکت bhakt. بهگت کهيلنا bhagat-khelnā, v. n. To act (a play), to imitate, to mimick. بهگت هونا bhagat-honā, v. n. To be initiated as a devotee, to be affi- liated to a religious order. (This is peculiar to the low tribes. The initiation consists in putting a necklace of beads round the neck, and marking a circle on the forehead. After which, the initiated person is bound to refrain from the use of spirituous liquors, flesh, &c.).

بهگتانا bhugtānā S̱. (caus. of بهگتنا) v. a. To cause to enjoy, to distribute, to requite.

بهگتاٴي bhagtāʼī S̱. (from بهگت) s. f. Piety, devo- tion, religiousness.

بهگتمان bhugatmān भुज्यमान S̱. adj. Fit to enjoy, deserving punishment.

بهگتن bhagtan S̱. s. f. 1. Wife of a بهگت bhagat. 2. (ironically) A lewd woman, a prostitute, a whore.

بهگتنا bhugatnā S̱. (from بهوگ भोग) v. a. To en- joy, to suffer, to receive the reward of virtue or the punishment of crime, to be requited.

بهگتيا bhagtiyā S̱. (from بهگت) s. m. A dancing boy.
