الگا algā S̱. (अ and लग्न Joined) 1. adj. Sepa- rate, apart, distinct, free, loose, unconfined. 2. s. m. A sandal.

الگائي algā-ī S̱. (from الگا) s. f. Separation.

الگانا algānā S̱. (from الگا) v. a. To separate, dis- join, to put on one side.

بلگانا bilgānā S̱. (trans. of بلگنا bilagnā) v. a. To separate, disjoin.

جهلگا jhilgā H 1. s. m. The netted bottom of a bed or couch when worn out and separated. 2. adj. A couch or bed is said to be جهلگا jhilgā, when the bottom is worn out or broken.

سلگانا sulgānā S̱. or silgānā (causal of سلگنا su- lagnā) v. a. To light, to inflame, to kindle.

شامي لگانا shāmī lagānā S̱. (शंव The iron head of a pestle. See s̱. سامي) To shoe with iron.

لـﮩرا لگانا lahrā lagānā S̱. To evade, to avoid per- forming an agreement.

لگا laggā S̱. s. m. 1. Affection, attachment. لگا نکهانا laggā na-khānā, To be incompatible, in- consistent (with), not comparable (with). 2. A pole with which a boat is impelled.

لگاتار lagātār S̱. adj. Successive, incessant.

لگالگ lag-ā-lag S̱. adv. (dakh.) Close together.

لگام lagām P s. f. A bridle, a bit. لگام دينا lagām denā, To bridle.

لگان lagān S̱. (from لگانا lagānā) s. m. Stopping or making fast (a boat, &c.).

لگانا lagānā S̱. (causal of لگنا) v. a. To apply, to close, to attach, to join, to fix, affix, ascribe, impose, lay, to add, to place, to put, to plant, to set, to inflict, to shut, to spread, to fasten, to connect, to plaster, to put to work, to em- ploy, to engage, to use, to impute, to report any thing in the way of scandal or malice. لگانا بجهانا lagānā bujhānā, To excite quarrels. لگا لينا lagā-lenā, To attach to oneʼs self, to conciliate, to win. لگا مارنا lagā mārnā, To ca- lumniate.

لگاو lagāʼo S̱. (from لگنا) s. m. Application, connexion, contact, adherence, symmetry, series, relation, intercourse. ¶ lagāʼū, adj. (dakh.) in compos. Applier, attacher.
