الچنا ulachnā H v. a. To throw out the water from any thing, to drain.

ايلچي elchī T s. m. An ambassadour, envoy, agent, attorney. ايلچي پنا elchī-panā, s. m. Ambassadourship, agency. ايلچي گري elchī-garī, s. f. Office of ambassadour, embassage, em- bassy. ايلچي گري کرنا elchī-garī karnā, To act the ambassadour, &c., to act for another.

اپلچهن अप and लक्षण A mark, a sign apa- lachchh̤aṇ S. s. m. A bad omen, bad sign.

اپلچهنا apa-lachchh̤aṇ-ā S̱. adj. m. Of a bad sign or suspicious appearance, unlucky, ominous.

بيلچه bel-cha P (dimin. of بيل) s. m. A hoe, a spade, a small mattock.

لچها lachchhā H s. m. A bundle (of thread), a ball or skein of thread, &c. ¶ (In the Dakhan) A necklace worn tight round the neck, formed of gold beads and glass beads. (Qanoon-e-islam).

لچهمن लक्ष्मण lachh̤maṇ S (or laksh̤maṇ) s. m. Name of the son of Dasaratha by Sumitrā, and half-brother of Rāmachandra.

لچهمي लक्ष्मी lachh̤mī S (or laksh̤mī) s. f. 1. The wife of Vish̤ṇu, and goddess of wealth and prosperity. (She is also called Padmā, Ka- malā and Srī, and is supposed to be the Ceres of the Latins). 2. Prosperity, wealth. 3. Beauty, splendour.

لچهن लक्षण lachh̤aṇ S or lachchh̤aṇ, s. m. Sign, mark; symptom, feature, auspiciousness (?). لچهن ونتا lachchh̤an-wantā (dakh.) Possessing marks; beautiful, fortunate, auspicious.
