اولين awwalīn A adj. plur. (of اوّل) The first, the former; the ancients.

بالين bālīn P s. f. A pillow.

باولينا bāʼolenā S̱. s. m. Name of a defect in horses.

بلاٴين لينا balāʼeṅ lenā A. S̱. To draw the hands over the head of another in token of taking all his misfortunes upon oneʼs self. (Generally practised by women).

بليالينا balaiyā lenā A. S̱. To draw oneʼs hands over the head of another in token of taking his mis- fortunes on oneʼs self. See بلاٴين لينا.

بلينڐا balenḍā H s. m. 1. A whirlwind. 2. A ridge- pole (of a cottage).

دلينتي dalentī S̱. (from द्विदल) s. f. A hand- mill.

دهلينڐي dhulenḍī H or dhulainḍī, s. f. The first day of the month Chait, on which it is the prac- tice to scatter ashes.

دين لين den len S̱. (properly دينا and لينا from दान and लान or देयंलेयं) s. m. Pecuniary trans- actions upon interest, debts and credit; barter, traffick.

قالين ḳālīn P s. f. See قالي ḳālī.

لي لينا le-lenā S̱. v. a. To take, to receive, to ac- cept of, to take by force, to extort, bereave.

لين len S̱. verbal n. To take, taking. See لينا.

لين دين len den S̱. (from لينا and دينا) s. m. Traf- fick, trade, barter, buying and selling.

لينا lenā S̱. (r. ला Get) v. a. To take, to accept, assume, to get, to hold, to pick, to win, to re- ceive, to buy. لي آنا le ānā, v. n. To bring, fetch. لينا دينا lenā denā, See لين دين len den.
