جيٿ jeṭ H s. f. Heap.

جمعه jumʼaﻌ A s. m. Friday (on which day Mu- salmāns assemble to pray at the great mosque). A. S̱. جمعه رات jumʼaﻌ-rāt, s. f. Thursday.

جاني دينا jāne denā S̱. v. a. 1. To liberate, to let go. 2. To excuse, to pass over (as, a fault).

جمگهٿ jamghaṭ S̱. (r. यम Bind, restrain, and घट Body) s. m. Crowd, multitude.

An instrument used for keeping a book open when reading or writing. 2. A port-folio. جزلايتجزيٰ juz-i-lā-yutajazzā, An indivisible atom, any thing too small to be divided, a monade. جزوکل juz-o-kull, adv. Totally, entirely, great and small. A. جزا jazā, s. f. Retaliation, requital, return, com- pensation, reward, recompense.

جاني jān-ī P adj. Of life, of the heart or soul, cor- dial, hearty, dear, beloved; (substantively) a lover, a friend. جاني دشمن jānī-dushman, An enemy desirous of oneʼs life, a mortal enemy.

جگا jagā S̱. s. f. (dakh.) See جگـﮩـ jagah. جگاکرنا jagā karnā (dakh. i. q. قايم هونا) To be standing or permanent.
