اقصيٰ aḳṣā A adj. compar. (of قصي) Extreme, most distant; the extreme, ex- tremely.

قصابه ḳaṣāba A s. m. A handkerchief tied round the head (worn by women, principally).

قصاص ḳiṣāṣ A (improp. ḳaṣāṣ from قصّ ḳaṣṣa Heb. To cut off) s. m. The law of retalia- tion. (This word is used in contradistinction to ديت diyat).

قصاٴي ḳaṣāʼi A. (for قصاب) 1. s. m. A butcher. 2. adj. Cruel, hardhearted.

قصب ḳaṣab A s. 1. A reed, pen or any thing hollow like a reed, as a bone or a metal tube. 2. A sort of fine linen. قصب پوشي ḳaṣab- posh-ī, s. f. The wearing or being dressed in fine linen.

قصبات ḳaṣbāt A s. plur. (of قصبه) Towns.

قصبه ḳaṣba A (prop. ḳaṣaba, from قصب) s. m. A small town (particularly, when inhabited by decent people or families of rank).
