جهينکنا jhīnknā H v. n. To grieve, to lament, to think of any thing with sorrow, to recommend any thing seriously.

جريده jarīda A 1. adj. Alone, separate, solitary, unattended (when travelling), unincumbered. 2. s. m. Volume, book, register. A.P. جريمانه jarīmāna, s. m. Penalty, forfeit, fine.

جتيک jitek H adj. As much as, as many as.

جد jad यदा S̱. adv. As, while, whilst, when, as soon as, at the time when. جدتک يا تلک يا لگ jad-tak or -talak or -lag (यावत्) adv. Till, until, yet, whilst, as long as, while. جد نه تد jad na tad, adv. Constantly.

جهپلانا jhaplānā H v. a. To wash, to rinse.

جهنجهلاهٿ jhunjhlāhaṭ H s. f. Peevishness, raging, storming.

جيٿهـ jeṭh ज्येष्ठ S̱. s. m. 1. Husbandʼs elder brother. 2. Name of the second Hindū month (the full moon of which is near ज्येष्ठा) May- June. 3. adj. Elder, first-born.

جگـﮩـ jagah H s. f. Place, station, quarter, room, vacancy, stead. جگـﮩـ چهوڙنا jagah chhoṛnā, v.a. To leave a blank. جگـﮩـ سرخرچنا jagah sir ḵẖa- rachnā (dakh. i. q. موقع پرخرچنا) To expend on the spot (?).
