جوڙوان joṛ-wāṅ S̱. adj. (dakh.) Equal, peer: see هم سر ham-sar.

جهڙت jhaṛat H s. f. (dakh.) Discharge (of a vol- ley): see جهاڙن jhāṛan, or جهڙن jhaṛan. H.S̱. جهڙتي لينا jhaṛtī lenā, v. a. (dakh. i. q. محاسبه لينا) To take an account.

جاب jāb H s. m. 1. Muzzle for large cattle. 2. A net for fruit. 3. A sort of grass.

جد यदु jadu S n. prop. An ancestor of Kr̤ish̤ṇa, جد بنسي jadu-bansī, adj. One of the family of Jadu: see جادو jādav. جد ناتهـ jadu-nāth, An epithet of Kr̤ish̤ṇa.

جانگهيا jānghiyā S̱. (from जंघा) s. m. A kind of breeches that do not cover the thigh.

جناغ janāg̠ẖ P s. A stipulation, bargain or wa- ger (between two persons), the breast bone of a bird, the bow in front of a saddle. ¶ junāg̠ẖ,

جـﮩول jahūl A (from جـﮩل) adj. Very ignorant.

جرا jurrā P. s. m. A kind of hawk (male of باز q. v.), a male falcon. See جره jurra.

جوتک jotik S̱. (ज्योतिष) s. m. Astrology, astronomy.

جله julah P s. m. 1. A weaver, of the Mu- hammadan religion. 2. (met.) A fool, a blockhead. جلاه ڐاڙهي julāh-ḍāṛhī, s. f. A short round beard, such as julāhs usually wear. S̱.H. جل بل jal-bal (from جلنا and بلنا) part. Burnt up or consumed with fire. See جلابلا.
