ايکادسي एकादशी ekādas-ī S s. f. The eleventh day of the lunar fortnight.

افزائي afzā-ī P (in compos.) s. f. Increasing.

اچهالنا uchhālnā S̱. (caus. of اچهلنا) v. a. To throw up, to toss up a thing (as a ball, &c.) and catch it in the hand. H. اچهان (अ and چهان Strain) a-chhān, adj. Not strained, impure.

اوتا otā H adj. So much, so many. اوتي مين ote meṅ, In the mean-time.

اخیر aḵẖīr A adj. Last, final, latter. s. m. The end, accomplishment, completion.

ابل अबल a-bal S adj. m. Weak.

احمق aḥmaḳ A adj. Very or most foolish, fool, blockhead, dunce. A. H. احمقاپن aḥmaḳ-āpan, s. m. Folly, stupi- dity. A.P. احمقانه aḥmaḳ-āna, adj. Foolishly, stupidly. (Figuratively) this word is applied to the

اون ūn S̱. (ऊर्णा r. ऊर्णु Cover) s. f. Wool. گاڐرآني اون کون بيٿهي چري کپاس gāḍar ānī ūn koṅ baiṭhī chare kapās, I brought the sheep for wool and she is eating up the cotton. (Spoken of any thing done by way of economy, which turns out very expensive, or by which a loss is incur- red.)
