جهينکنا jhīnknā H v. n. To grieve, to lament, to think of any thing with sorrow, to recommend any thing seriously.

جد jadd A s. m. 1. A grandfather; ancestor. (Plur. اجداد Ancestors). 2. Dignity, glory (of God), happiness, prosperity.

جهٿکا jhaṭkā H (from جهٿکنا) 1. part. Slaughtered by cutting off the head (in the Hindū way), bro- ken asunder or torn by a sudden jerk, torn to pieces. 2. s. m. A shake, a pull, a twitch. جهٿکا کرنا jhaṭkā karnā, v. a. (dakh.) 1. To steal, filch. 2. (i. q. جلدي کرنا) To make haste, to be precipitate.

جهورا jhūrā S̱. (see جهورنا) adj. Withered.

جهونپا jhompā H s. m. 1. A bunch of fruit. 2. A cloth with eyelets which covers the whole body. 3. A spike.

جرنا jarnā ज्वलन S̱. v. n. To burn.

جهلجهلانا jhaljhalānā S̱. (from s. r. ज्वल Shine) v. n. 1. To glitter, to glare. 2. To be in a pas- sion. 3. To throb, to ache, to smart.

جنمانا janmānā S̱. (from जन्म) v. a. 1. To beget. 2. To make vegetate.

جگي جگي jigījigī H s. f. An exclamation ex- pressive of surprise and pleasure.

جيٿهاني jeṭh-ānī S̱. (from ज्येष्ठ) s. f. The wife of a husbandʼs elder brother.
