آگوا āgūʼā S̱. (see آکو āgū) s. m. A pommel.

ادشکر adh-kar अर्द्धकर S̱. s. m. Half the tax or duty of any kind (the other half being remit- ted).

اقبال iḳbāl A (inf. iv. of قبل) s. m. Prosperity, good fortune, auspices. اقباله ikbāluhu, His good fortune, &c. اقبالہم iḳbāluhum, Their good fortune, &c.

آگا āgā अग्र S̱. s. m. The front, the forepart; the space in front of a house, the forepart of a turband. آگا پیچها کرنا āgā pīchhā karnā, v. n. To hesitate, waver, boggle, demur, stand shill-I-shall-I.

اپتیارا a-patiyārā S̱. (अ and प्रत्यय Trust, confidence) adj. Faithless, treacherous.

اکاجی a-kāj-ī अकार्य्यी S̱. adj. Useless (ani- mal, thing, or person); a retarder.

ادمبر उदुम्बर udumbar S s. m. 1. The glo- merous fig-tree (Ficus glomerata). 2. A sect of Brāhmans.
