ٿٿيـﮩرا ṭaṭīhrā S̱. s. m. 1. (टिट्टिभ) A sand- piper (Tringa goensis). ٿٿيـﮩري سي آسمان تهاما جاٴيگا ṭaṭīhrī se āsmān thāmā jāʼegā? Will the sky be supported by the sandpiper? Applied to a person who undertakes an enterprise far above his strength. (This bird being said to sleep with its legs extended upwards, as if to prop the firmament). 2. A kind of rattle.

ٿانچ ṭānch H adj. Perverse, audacious, troublesome.

ٿهٿهرا ṭhaṭhrā H s. m. A fence.

ٿهرا ṭharrā H s. f. 1. A kind of wine or spiri- tuous liquor. 2. A kind of shoe worn by vil- lagers.

ٿيپنا ṭīpnā H v. a. To press, to compress, to grope, to feel, to squeeze.

ٿالي ṭālī H s. f. A sort of musical instrument. See تال tāl.

ٿوپي ṭop-ī H s. f. A hat. ٿوپـَي والا ṭopī-wālā, One who wears a hat, or an animal with a comb, crest, &c. It is used to express the Persian or Moghal troops, and also those of Europeans.

ٿهنڐ ṭhanḍ H s. f. Coldness, cold, a cold.

ٿيرا ṭerā H 1. s. m. A curtain. 2. adj. Squint- eyed, cock-eyed.

ٿنکا ṭankā H s. m. The jingle (of plates, dishes, &c.).
