تعميه taﻌmiya A (inf. ii. of عمي) s. m. 1. Act of rendering blind. 2. Concealing the meaning of a sentence or discourse. (Generally applied to a chronogram after the manner of abjad, when the clause, which should give the date, fails in accuracy, and the excess or defect is obscurely indicated by another word. Ex. gr. ازحوض لطيف اب بردار az ḥauẓ-i-lat̤īf āb bardār, Draw water from the pellucid cistern. The letters in حوض لطيف make 943, from which substracting those of اب 3, we have the date required 940). 3. An enigma.

تـﮩتک tahattuk A (inf. v. of هتک) s. m. 1. (Orig. but not used in Hind.) The being torn (a veil, &c.). 2. Disgrace, dishonour.

تهانا thānā स्थान S̱. s. m. 1. A station, a guard. 2. The inside of the lines of an army.

تولا tawallā A (inf. v. of ولي) s. m. 1. Attach- ment, affection. 2. Hope.

تقويٰٰ taḳwạ̄ A s. m. Piety, abstinence, the fear of God. اهل تقويٰٰ ahl-i-taḳwạ̄, Pious.

توهين tauhīn A (inf. ii. of وهن) s. f. Enervating, relaxing, scoffing.

تهاپ thāp H s. f. A tap, a pat, a flap, paw; the sound of a small drum.

تيڙها teṛhā H adj. (dakh.) See ٿيڙها.

ترلوچن त्रिलोचन tri-lochan S (having) three eyes; s. m. The Hindū deity, Siva.

تکنا taknā S̱. (r. तर्क Shine, investigate) 1. v. a. To look at, to look, to observe, to aim at, to watch. 2. v. n. To be looked at, to be stared at, to look.
