تعطيل taﻌt̤īl A (inf. ii. of عطل) s. f. 1. Abandoning, neglecting. 2. Rendering useless. 3. Laying waste, vacation. (Friday is the تعطيل کا روز taﻌt̤īl kā roz of Muhammadan school boys).

تولنا tolnā S̱. or taulnā (तोलन) v. a. 1. To weigh, to balance. 2. To confront (as, two armies). تولنا نظرون مين taulnā naz̤roṅ meṅ, To estimate the worth of any one.

ترقيم tarḳīm A (inf. ii. of رقم) s. f. Writing, noting. A. P. ترک turk, s. m. 1. A soldier. 2. A Musal- mān (properly, a Turk, which in Persian takes many other meanings. Sans. तुरष्क). ترک چشم turk-chashm, A murdering or captivating eye. ترک سوار turk-sawār, s. m. A horseman, a cavalier. ترک مزاج turk-mizāj, adj. Wicked, sly; depraved. (Plur. ترکان turkān).

ترترا turturā S̱. (r. त्वर Make haste) adj. 1. Nim- ble, active. 2. Flippant.

توتئي tūtaʼī H or tutaʼī, s. f. A vessel with a spout. P.S̱. توتيا tūtiyā (तुत्थ) s. m. Blue vitriol, tutty.

تدريج tadrīj A (inf. ii. of درج) s. f. Gradation, scale. بتدريج ba-tadrīj, By degrees.

تعذير taﻌẕīr A (inf. ii. of عذر) s. f. Apologizing, subterfuge, excuse. (Little used).

تشاکل tashākul A (inf. vi. of شکل) s. m. Mutual resemblance.

تنگناٴي tang-nāʼī P s. f. A strait place or passage, a strait.

تاتي tātī S̱. (तातल or तप्त) adj. Hot, warm.
