تخمينا taḵẖmīnaṉ A (from خمن) adv. 1. By guess, by conjecture, by appraisement. 2. Nearly, about.

تلنا tulnā S̱. (r. तुल Weigh) v. n. To be weighed or balanced; to be drawn up in array (as one army against another). See under تل tul.

توڙٿا toṛnā त्रोटन S̱. v. a. 1. To break, tear, rend, burst, split, demolish. 2. To change (money), to pluck or gather (fruit, flowers, &c.), to reduce (in arithmetick). دم توڙنا dam toṛnā, To be at the point of death. روٿي توڙنا roṭī toṛnā, To eat the bread of idleness. توڙنا جوڙنا toṛnā joṛnā (to break and to join) expresses absolute power over any thing.

تهامبهنا thāmbhnā S̱. (स्तंभन) v. a. 1. To support, to prop. 2. To shield, protect, keep, retain, maintain, to shelter. 3. To prevent, withhold, restrain, calm. 4. To stop, to pull up (a horse), to bear, assist, resist.

نس tis S̱. inflect. pron. (from تون or for Sans. तस्य) That, which, &c. تس اپرانت tis uparānt, adv. Moreover. تسپر tis-par or تسپه tis-pa, Besides, over and above, moreover, yet, nevertheless, still, then, after that, thereon, whereat. تس پربهي tis-par bhī, Thereon, nevertheless, yet, still.

تڙپهـ taṛaph H (from تڙپهنا) s. f. Agitation, tossing about, palpitation.

تام tāmm A (part. act. of تمام) adj. Perfect, en- tire, complete, full.

تلونـﮩ‍ا tiloṅhā S̱. (from तैल Oil) adj. (spoken of a lamp) Sloped so that the oil may reach the wick.

ترنم tarannum A (inf. v. of رنم) s. m. A song, modulation.

تکليف taklīf A (inf. ii. of کلف) s. f. 1. Cere- mony. 2. Imposition of a burthen. 3. Trou- ble, difficulty, molestation, distress, inconve- nience, ailment, affliction, annoyance. (Plur. تکليفات taklīfāt). تکليف دينا taklīf denā, To annoy, molest, incommode, trouble. تکليف کرنا taklīf karnā, To take the trouble.
