ترچها tirchhā तिर्य्यच् S̱. adj. 1. Crooked, across, bent, oblique, awry, askaunt. 2. Per- verse. 3. Affected, foolish. ترچها ديکهنا tirchhā dekhnā, To squint, to look askaunt. ترچها لگنا tirchhā lagnā, v. n. To strike obliquely, to glance. ترچهي آنکهـ کرنا tirchhī ānkh karnā, To look angrily, to cast unkind looks. ترچهي نظر tirchhī naz̤ar, Leer, ogle, side glance, squint.

تواضع tawāẓuﻌ A (inf. vi. of وضع) s. f. Humility, attention, civility, pretended kindness, empty compliments. تواضع سمرقندي tawāẓuﻌ-i-samar- ḳandī, False politeness, pretended kindness, empty compliment.

تچهک तक्षक tachh̤ak S s. m. One of the prin- cipal Nāgas or serpents of Pātāla, a snake of a middle size and of a red colour.

تلاٴي tilāʼī H s. f. A small fryingpan.

توتئي tūtaʼī H or tutaʼī, s. f. A vessel with a spout. P.S̱. توتيا tūtiyā (तुत्थ) s. m. Blue vitriol, tutty.

تصوف taṣauwuf A (inf. v. of صوف) s. m. The theology of the ṣūfīs or mysticks of the east; mystery, contemplation.
