ترت turt S̱. or turat, (त्वरित) adv. Instantly, quickly, hastily, directly, presently, immediately.

تصفيه taṣfiya A (inf. ii. of صفا) s. m. 1. Purifying (particularly, the mind from ill will), purifica- tion, purgation, purity. 2. Reconciling, reconciliation.

تتانا tatānā S̱. (from तत्प) v. a. To warm.

توانگر tawān-gar P (prop. tuwān-gar) adj. Rich, opulent, powerful.

تٿ तट taṭ S s. m. A shore or bank.

تراکم tarākum A (inf. vi. of رکم) s. m. Heaping together, the being thickly collected together, accumulation.

توبه tauba A s. f. 1. Penitence, conversion. 2. Promising to sin no more. توبه توبه tauba tauba, interj. Tush! fy! foh! توبه دهاڙ tauba-dhāṛ, s. f. The sound of punishing, &c. توبه کرنا tauba karnā, To repent (of sin).

توڙٿا toṛnā त्रोटन S̱. v. a. 1. To break, tear, rend, burst, split, demolish. 2. To change (money), to pluck or gather (fruit, flowers, &c.), to reduce (in arithmetick). دم توڙنا dam toṛnā, To be at the point of death. روٿي توڙنا roṭī toṛnā, To eat the bread of idleness. توڙنا جوڙنا toṛnā joṛnā (to break and to join) expresses absolute power over any thing.

توجيه taujīh A (inf. ii. of وجه) s. f. 1. Calling oneʼs attention. 2. Explaining, accounting for. 3. Adjustment of accounts. 4. Assessment. 5. A description roll, statement. توجيه نويس tau- jīh-navīs, A keeper of description rolls.

تل तिल til S s. m. 1. The seed of the Sesa- mum, or name of the plant (Sesamum orientale). 2. A mole on the face. 3. A moment, an in- stant. تلون مين تيل نـﮩين کـﮩنا tiloṅ meṅ tel nahīṅ kahnā, (lit. to say there is no oil in the seeds of Sesamum, is) To say snow is black, to deny the most evident truth.
