تاوان tāwān P s. m. 1. Retaliation, recompense, amends. 2. Debt. 3. Fine, mulct. 4. Loan. (تاوان is used in opposition to قصاص ḳiṣāṣ, and means the price paid for blood). تاوان باندهنا يا لينا tāwān-bāndhnā or -lenā, To fine, to mulct. تاوان لگانا tāwān lagānā, To amerce.

توليد taulīd A (inf. ii. of ولد) s. f. Birth, genera- tion.

ترت turt S̱. or turat, (त्वरित) adv. Instantly, quickly, hastily, directly, presently, immediately.

تماشا tamāshā A. (for تماشي inf. vi. of مشي) s. m. 1. An entertainment, show, a spectacle. 2. Sight, amusement fun, pleasure. تماشا بيني tamāshā-bīn-ī, s. f. Luxury, libertinism. تماشا کرنا tamāshā karnā, v. a. 1. To see. 2. To take a walk. 3. To jeer, to jest. تماشا کنان ta- māshā-kunān, Beholding, looking at for amuse- ment. تماش بين tamāsh-bīn, A spectator; a rake, an epicure, a whoremaster. تماش بيني tamāsh-bīn-ī, s. f. Raking, whoring, gallantry. A.P. تماشاگاه tamāshā-gāh, s. f. A place of show, a theatre. A. H. تماشاي tamāshā-ī, 1. s. m. f. A spectator. 2. adj. Fit for a spectacle. ترمرا tirmirā H s. m. 1. A spot of oil, &c. swimming on water. 2. An ocular spectrum, or spark appearing before the eye from the internal state of that organ.

تهرانا tharrānā H v. n. To tremble, to quiver.

تـﮩ‍ايت tihāyat S̱. s. m. 1. A third person. 2. A court of inquiry, three or four persons by whom any cause is arbitrated, an arbitrator.

تعيناتي taʼīﻌnāt-ī A. s. f. The object or business of an appointment, &c. tour of service, attendance, duty.
