تپانا tapānā S̱. (तापन or caus. of تپنا) v. a. To heat, warm, make glow, make another person warm himself at the fire or in the sun.

تيزي tez-ī P s. f. Sharpness, keenness, pun- gency, acrimony, strength, swiftness, impetuosity, fleetness, &c.

تفرح tafarruḥ A (inf. v. of فرح) s. m. Leisure, ease, refreshment.

تثنيه tas̤niya A (inf. ii. of ثني) s. m. used adjec- tively, The dual (number).

تارا तारा tārā S s. m. 1. A star. 2. The ap- ple of the eye. 3. n. pr. The name of the wife of Rājā Bali. تاري توڙنا tāre toṛnā (dakh. i. q. مکرکرنا) To practise deceit. تاري گننا tāre ginnā, To count the stars, i. e. to get no sleep. تارامنڐل tārā-manḍal, The starry sphere.

تنافر tanāfur A (inf. vi. of نفر) s. m. Mutual re- pugnance or aversion, disputing for honour be- fore a judge.

تعال الله taʼāﻌl allāh A. interj. Good God!

تيل tel तैल S̱. s. m. Oil. تيل چڙهانا tel chaṛ- hānā, To anoint the head, shoulders, and hands and feet of the bride and bridegroom with oil mixed with turmerick during the marriage cere- mony.

تريز tirez P s. f. The pieces in a vestment that are cut transversely or diagonally.
