پچارا puchārā H s. m. 1. A thin coat of clay for laying on a wall. 2. The sponge of a gun. پچاراپهيرنا puchārā phernā, To sponge a gun. پچارادينا puchārā denā, To lay a thin coat of clay on the walls of a house; to whitewash a wall.

پتهري patthrī S̱. (from प्रस्तर) s. f. 1. Grit, gravel. 2. The flint of a musket. 3. Stone in the bladder, calculus. 4. A gizzard.

پاکي pāk-ī P s. f. Purity, cleanliness, sanctity. پاکي لينا pākī lenā, v. a. To shave or pluck hairs from parts concealed.

پيچيدگي pech-īda-gī P s. f. Twisting, contor- tion, winding.

پرداخت pardāḵẖt P (from پرداختن) s. f. Per- formance, patronising, relinquishment.

پهيرا pherā H (from پهيرنا) s. m. 1. Turning, cir- cuit, perambulation. 2. A roll. 3. A wooden frame with which lime, sand, &c. is measured.

پدم padam S̱. or padma (पद्म) s. m. 1. The lo- tus (Nelumbium speciosum. Willd.). 2. Ten billions (according to the shāstr); or, one thou- sand billions (according to the Dastūru-l-aﻌmal, or the Royal ordinances of Akbar).

پود pūd P s. Woof, the threads woven in the breadth of a piece of cloth across the warp, which is called in Persian تار tār.

پنڐا pinḍā पिंड S̱. s. m. 1. Body, person. 2. A lump of clay. 3. A bundle or ball of string, clew. 4. See پنڐ pinḍ, sign. 2.

پهلکي phulkī S̱. (from फुल्ल Blossom) s. f. A cake or raised bread, fritters.
