پنگهٿ panghaṭ S̱. (पानीय Water, and घट्ट A quay or landing place) s. m. A passage to a river, a stair or quay for drawing water.

پاينت pā-yint S̱. (पादान्त) s. f. The foot of a bed, the side towards the feet.

پهانس phāṅs S̱. (पाश) s. m. 1. A noose. 2. An impediment.

پيچ pech P (from پيچيدن) s. m. f. 1. Twist, revo- lution, a coil, a plait, fold. 2. A screw. 3. Perplexity, ambiguity, maze, difficulty, trouble. 4. Deceit. 5. Complication, involution. پيچ اٿهانا pech uṭhānā, To suffer loss or distress. پيچ اکهڙنا pech ukhaṛnā, v. n. To loosen (the twist of any thing). پيچ باندهنا pech bāndhnā, To grapple in wrestling. پيچ پاچ pech-pāch or پيچ پانچ pech-pānch, s. m. Twist, coil, &c. پيچ پڙنا pech paṛnạ̄, To become difficult or intricate, to occur as an obstacle, to be entangled. پيچ چلنا pech chalna, To prevail by stratagem. پيچ چنا pech chunnā, To bind the twists of a turband with care. پيچ دار pech-dār, adj. پورنا pūrnā S̱. (from पूर्ण) v. a. To weave (as a spider). v. n. To be filled. چوک پورنا chauk pūrnā, To make chequers or squares.
