A hand made of ivory, &c. to scratch the back with. پنجه پهيرنا panja phernā, To over- come, to overpower. پنجه کرنا panja karnā, A kind of wrestling, wherein the antagonists lock their fingers together. پنجه کش panja- kash, 1. s. m. An iron instrument resembling a hand, with which wrestlers exercise themselves by locking their fingers into those of the instru- ment. 2. (A kind of bread) bearing the marks of five fingers.

پهبتي phabtī H (from پهبنا) s. f. Ornament, conjecturing what a person is by his dress. پهبتي کـﮩنا phabtī kahnā, v. a. To say what is conjectured by oneʼs dress.
