پرمپرا परम्परा paramparā S s. f. Communica- tion from one to another in succession, tradition.

پنڐي pinḍī S. (पिंड A lump) s. f. 1. The upper part of a Siva-ling. 2. A lump of any thing that may be contained in the fist. 3. A small clue or ball of string. 4. A small altar of sand a cubit square, on which oblations to the manes are offered.

پٿوکا paṭūkā S̱. (पट्ट Cloth) s. m. See پٿکا paṭkā. پٿوکاباندهنا paṭūkā bāndhnā, To determine on, or to prepare for any act. پٿوکاپکڙنا paṭūkā pa- kaṛnā, To hinder or obstruct.

پلپلانا pilpilānā H v. a. To soften.

پردمن pardamun प्रद्युम्न S̱. n. prop. Kāma (or Cupid) son of Kr̤ish̤ṇa and husband of Rati.

پوروني pūrvnī S̱. (from पूर्व) adj. f. Eastern (wo- man).

پنـﮩاري panhārī S̱. s. f. 1. (पानीयहारिणी) A woman who carries water on her head. 2. (पणहारिणी from पण Wager, promise, and r. हृ Take by force) A faithless person, a pro- mise-breaker.

پرن pran पण S̱. s. m. Promise, agreement, vow, resolution.

پوترا potrā S̱. or potṛā, s. m. Baby-cloths, clouts.
