پروانگي parwāna-gī P (from پروانه) s. f. Command, order, permission.

پرم परम param S adj. Best, most excellent, chief, principal, first, supreme. پرمارتهـ para- mārth (from ارتهـ Meaning, intention) s. m. The first pursuit, the best end, virtue, merit. پرمارتهي paramārth-ī, adj. Religious, seeking the best end, virtuous. پرمانند param-ānand, Great plea- sure. پرم پد param-pad, s. m. Heaven or beati- tude. پرم دهام param-dhām, s. m. Paradise. پرم گت param-gati, s. f. Eternal felicity, hea- venly bliss.

پٿا paṭṭā पट्ट S̱. s. m. A deed, particularly a title deed to land or a deed of lease. پٿّاتڙانا paṭṭā tuṛānā, To flee, run away.

To back one) To support steadily. پشت پناه pusht-panāh, An ally, a supporter. پشت خم pusht-ḵẖam, adj. Hump- backed. پشت دست کسي پرمارناياپشت پامارنا pusht-i-dast kisī par mārnā or pusht-i-pā mārnā, To reject, to abandon. پشت دينا pusht denā (lit. To turn oneʼs back) To flee, run away, turn tail.

پهرچها pharchhā H adj. Pure, honest, fair, can- did, fair (not cloudy). پهرچهاکرنا pharchhā- karnā, v. a. To clean, to settle, to sweep.

پـﮩل pahal H s. m. 1. A flock of cotton. 2. Beginning, aggression. 3. The side of a rec- tangular figure. ¶ phal (dakh.) Form, figure, &c. see صورت ṣūrat.

پريزاد parī-zād P adj. Fairy-born; a fairy, a beauty.
