پروهت पुरोहित पुरस् Before, formerly, and हित Appointed, employed purohit S. or pro- hit, s. m. A family priest conducting all the ce- remonials and sacrifices of a house or family.

پانگا pāngā H s. m. Culinary salt obtained from sea sand (as, by the process in use on the sea coast of Bengal).

پرا purā पुर S̱. s. m. A large village, a town, an assemblage of habitations.

پواڙا pūʼāṛā H s. (dakh.) i. q. قصي کابيان ḳiṣṣe kā bayān, Explanation of a story.

پاسي pās-ī S̱. (from पाश A rope) s. m. One whose business it is to make tāḍī. (So named from the rope round his leg when he climbs the تاڙ tree).

پوتر पवित्र pavitra S adj. See پبتر pabitr. ¶ पौत्र pautra, s. m. Grandson, sonʼs son.

پرسوت parsūt S̱. or prasūt (प्रसूति see پرسو) s. m. The whites, fluor albus.
